In Melbourne however theatres will only be permitted to reopen when 80 of the 16-plus population is fully vaccinated and only to a maximum audience of 150 people an unprofitably small. We are also reopening cinemas and theatres from October 22. This isnt a time to revolt against government control or buy into conspiracy theories.
As of 19 July theatres are able to open to a full capacity under stage 4 of the governments roadmap.
The Society of London Theatre has launched a See It. West End theatres have not been open to a full audience since they were forced to close their doors in March 2020. He confirmed that theatres can resume performances at the earliest from 17 May with social distancing and a limited capacity dependant on tests. Theatres can reopen from 17 May says Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
